FBS conducts Annual Science Exhibition
FBS conducted its annual Science Exhibition for students across all levels – Foundation, Preparatory, Middle and Secondary on 28 October 2022.
Our Principal, Mr. Mathew Thomas inaugurated the exhibition. He addressed the children and spoke about the importance of appreciating science in everyday life. The exhibition was also graced by the presence of Prof. Gitisudha Giri, Prof. Sibasankar Nayak, Prof. Bipin Bihari Tripathy, Mr. Lokanath Mohanta, Mr. Gopabandhu Khuntia and Mr. Pruthwiraj Tarai from Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar.
314 students from across the four levels showcased their ideas in the form of static/ working models and charts in the classrooms. More than 300 exhibits and creatives were displayed. The Foundation level students displayed models on topics like Fire Safety, Greenhouse effect, Solar System and Sense organs. The Preparatory level students presented their ideas on topics such as Water Cycle, Rain Water Harvesting, Global Warming, Food and Nutrition and Respiratory System. The Middle Level students presented on topics like Drip Irrigation, Waste Management, Li-Fi and Electroplating. The Secondary Level students displayed models on the themes of Disaster Management, Rocket Science, Hydroponic Farming, Soil Power Generation and Radar.
Hundreds of parents and other visitors went around the exhibition premises and interacted and discussed with the students. The children were enthusiastically explaining their projects and answering the queries of the visitors and judges. Three best projects from each of the levels were awarded prizes.

Participants were good at explaining details. Some projects were of very good quality and exciting. Initial shortlisting and categorization of projects can be done, going forward – Evaluator
