FBS holds Investiture Ceremony of Office Bearers for the academic session 2022-23
Future Bhubaneswar School (FBS) held the Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2022-2023 in a special ceremony at the school Lecture Hall on 3 September 2022, where the new incumbents donned the mantle of various offices.
FBS Principal, Mr Mathew Thomas, presided over the event conducted in the presence of students, house mentors, and house coordinators. In a symbolic function, the incoming office bearers received their charges by lighting candles from the seniors and taking an oath to keep the institution’s traditions alive. The school held the ceremony with lots of zeal and zest.
Prakriti Swain, Class 11, is the new Head Girl and Priyadarshini Panda, Class 9, the new Deputy Head Girl. Samyak Panda, Class 11, is the new Head Boy and Subham Tripathy, Class 9, the new Deputy Head Boy. S R Shreelok, Class 11, is the new Commander.
The house captains and vice-captains were also elected. Rituparna Nayak, Class 11, is the Captain of Mercury House and Krishnanshu Panda, Class 9, the Vice-captain. Arya Abhunav Samal, Class 11, and Divya Choudhury, Class 9, are the new Captain and Vice-captain of Venus House; Karanjeet Mishra, Class 11, and Adyasha Patra, Class 9, the Captain and Vice-captain of Jupiter House; and Shruti Shradha Dalai, Class 11, and Sashwati Dash, Class 9, the Captain and Vice-captain of Neptune House.
The Principal and Vice Principal, Ms Nita Patnaik, conferred the elected leaders with badges and sashes. The elected leaders’ profiles were read out to the audience at the event. The students’ council took the pledge to uphold the school motto. Speaking on occasion, Principal Thomas urged the outgoing students to keep intact the ethos they have internalised from their alma mater. The outgoing students promised to hold whatever good things they learned from the school and be the flag bearers of Future Bhubaneswar School.
The cultural programme that followed regaled everyone present. The function ended with high tea.
