FBS organized an engaging drawing competition for Class VI students, centred on the theme of “Urban Green Spaces”, on 22nd June 2024. The event aimed to foster appreciation for green areas within urban environments, raise awareness about their biodiversity significance, and provide a creative platform for students to express their perceptions through art.

More than 30 enthusiastic students from Class VI participated in the competition, showcasing their artistic talents over an exciting one and a half hours. The competition, meticulously planned and executed by dedicated art teachers with support from other teachers, saw participants drawing on themes ranging from environmental sustainability to the beauty of urban greenery.

Entries were judged on criteria including creativity, relevance to the theme, and artistic merit. After careful consideration, the winners were announced:

  • First: Srihanshu Jayprakash (Class VI – C)
  • Second: Neelambika Muduli (Class VI – A)
  • Third: Sai Satyam Das (Class VI – C)

In recognition of their outstanding artworks, prizes were awarded by the Principal during the morning assembly on 6th July 2024. This event not only celebrated the creative achievements of the students but also underscored the importance of urban green spaces in enhancing biodiversity, providing recreational opportunities, and promoting mental well-being and social cohesion.

The theme “Urban Green Spaces” served as a catalyst for meaningful discussions on sustainable urban development and instilled a deeper appreciation for the environment among the participants and the school community.
