FBS celebrated 9th International Yoga Day on 21 June 2023.
“Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or Yoga for the Welfare of All as One World-One Family’, connects with a larger global community and promotes widespread adoption of yoga in every part of India.
Our students from classes IX and XI showcased their yoga skills and spread the message of health and wellness. They demonstrated various yoga asanas like padahastana, utkatasana, and sirsasana
The session was aimed at encouraging healthy habits among students and teachers and promoting physical and mental well-being. It emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life and maintaining harmony between the body and mind. The session lasted for over an hour. Active participation and the keen interest in this ancient practice shown by the students were remarkable.
The yoga session was followed by ‘Fit India’ Quiz. Students from classes VI to XI participated in it. The main objective was to make students aware of insidious health issues among the young generation, the necessity of dedicating some time every day to fitness activities, and asserting that they are crucial for overall wellness.
Anwesha Das, Class VI, Nimitesh Parida, Class VII, Siddhi Samparna, Class VIII, Amrita Pattanaik, Class IX and Pratiksha Moharana, Class XI emerged as winners of this quiz competition.
