FBS hosts exciting Inter-House Quiz Competition for Class VIII Students

On 22nd June 2024, students from Class VIII at FBS eagerly participated in an exhilarating Inter-House Quiz Competition. Held in the lecture hall, the event aimed to reinforce learning across various subjects including science, mathematics, social studies, language, arts, and general knowledge. It also sought to stimulate critical thinking skills and develop abilities such as effective communication, quick recall, decision-making under pressure, and time management. Importantly, the competition fostered teamwork, collaboration, and mutual support among students.

The competition commenced with a preliminary round the previous day, where four students from each house—Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune—were selected to represent their respective teams. The participants included:

  • Mercury: Alveena Barkat, Jagruti Senapati, Naina Pal, Kasapu T Sritej
  • Venus: Jignasha Kar, Ram Ratan Tripathy, Subhasmita Mohanty, Subhashree Hati
  • Jupiter: Amlan Dash, Tejaswini Mishra, Dibyasha Dibyarupa Satapathy, Rajashree Soren
  • Neptune: Siddhi Pradhan, Aslesh Dash, Ayusman Nanda, Ariyan Mandal

Under the guidance of Principal Mr. Mathew Thomas, who also served as the quiz master, the competition featured multiple rounds covering diverse topics such as General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Geography. The session, which lasted over one and a half hours, witnessed enthusiastic participation from all teams, each striving to outperform the others.

Ultimately, Jupiter House emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional teamwork and knowledge across the quiz rounds.

On 6th July 2024, Principal Mr. Mathew Thomas presented prizes and certificates to the winning team members of Jupiter House during the school assembly.

The Inter-House Quiz Competition not only challenged and engaged the students but also supported their academic growth, promoted lifelong learning, and instilled a positive attitude towards education. It underscored the importance of collaboration and critical thinking skills in academic success and personal development.
