The ‘Build Your Skills-2024’ programme launched by FBS for students from Class   3 to 12 was  a comprehensive and engaging initiative aimed at fostering skill development and creativity among young learners. 

The programme’s objective of providing students with an opportunity to sharpen their skills during the summer break was commendable. By offering courses and activities designed by professionals and industry experts, FBS aims to keep students creatively engaged and productive during their vacation.

The diverse range of courses, including both traditional arts and crafts as well as modern technology-focused workshops, reflects an understanding of the multifaceted skills needed in today’s world. Swim ‘n’ Fun, Artistic Horizon, Unleash your Musical Brilliance with Hands-on in Guitar & Keyboard, Introduction to Circuit Design and Robotics Workshop, Theatre Workshop, Speak to Lead, Pygame Paradise, and DNA & Us – What Makes Us Unique cater to a diverse set of interests and talents among students. By introducing students to such topics, FBS prepares them for future careers in STEM fields while also nurturing their artistic and interpersonal skills.

The hands-on approach ensures immersive learning experiences, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.

Offering both offline and online modes for courses enhances accessibility and flexibility for students, accommodating different learning preferences and situations. This approach enables a wider participation and ensures that students can benefit from the programme regardless of their location or access to resources.

The duration of the programme, with most courses offering 20-25 hours of learning, strikes a balance between intensity and feasibility for students during their summer break. The participation of 154 students indicates a significant interest and uptake among the target audience.

The Grand Finale event organized to conclude the programme serves multiple purposes. It recognizes and celebrates the efforts of participating students through awarding mementos and certificates, while also showcasing their achievements and talents to parents and other attendees. The inclusion of cultural events, games, and an exhibition adds an element of fun and excitement to the occasion, contributing to a memorable experience for everyone involved.

The focus on showcasing children’s creativity, providing opportunities for stress relief, and cherishing lighter moments reflects a holistic approach towards child development.
