FBS organises Social Science Exhibition on Republic Day
A Social Science Exhibition was organized for the first time in FBS on 26 January 2024 in connection with Republic Day. The exhibition commenced immediately after the Republic Day function. Approximately 190 children from classes IV through IX took part in the exhibition, showcasing four skits and 100 models.
Students in classes IV and V created models based on themes such as temples, culture, customs, traditions, festivals, dance forms, and cuisine from different states in India. They performed traditional songs and dances.
Participants from classes VI to IX presented their models on a different topic pertaining to geography, history, economics, and civics. Students gave presentations on a wide range of subjects, including democracy, human rights, the history of Odisha, Jagannath culture, world civilizations, sustainable development, handling of natural disasters, landforms, secularism, the Indian constitution, the legislature, the judiciary, social stigmas, flags, the history of the Ram temple, Ram Setu, and many more. The skits on subjects including domestic violence, fundamental rights, the right to education, and the Jallianawala Bagh tragedy were the exhibition’s main draw.
Students’ endeavor and enthusiasm were appreciated and encouraged by all.
