Subhashree Rout, an FBS Class 5 student, received the “Biju Patnaik Bravery Award” for saving a five-year-old girl from drowning in a pond near Nandankanan, Bhubaneswar. The Honourable Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, conferred the award in a special function held on National Sports day on 29 August 2022.

Subashree got a one lakh cash award, a citation, and a silver medal for her humanity and selfless act of courage and bravery.

Active in sports, Subhashree loves to play, especially football and badminton. Apart from this, her hobbies are dancing and drawing.
