FBS Model United Nations 2025 Concludes with Powerful Debates, Cultural Pride and Youth Leadership
Future Bhubaneswar School (FBS) successfully hosted the FBS Model United Nations 2025 on the 27th and 28th of September 2025, bringing together 160 participants, including 24 delegates from other schools of the state. The conference served as a dynamic platform for young minds to discuss, debate, and collaborate on pressing global issues in the spirit of diplomacy and international cooperation.
The conference commenced with a warm welcome to delegates, Executive Board members, dignitaries, and invited guests. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the formal welcome by the Secretary General, Master Shayon Lenka, who officially declared the conference open.
Participants represented renowned schools and engaged in intense discussions across four committees viz., UNEP Advancing Climate Resilience, UNHRC, WHO and International Press (IP-J & IP-P.).
The UNEP Advancing Climate Resilience focussed on the agenda of ‘Addressing the Environmental and Human Impact of Climate-Induced Displacement’. The UNHRC focussed on the agenda of ‘Ensuring Accountability for Human Rights Abuses Against the Rohingya Minority under Myanmar’s Military Rule’. The WHO focussed on the agenda of ‘Addressing the Hunger and Malnutrition Crisis in the Sahel Region through Sustainable Public Health Interventions’. The International Press (IP-J & IP-P) focussed on the agenda of ‘Coverage and documentation of committee proceedings through journalism and photography’.
The inaugural day concluded with a graceful Odissi dance performance by Miss Tejaswini Samal from Future Bhubaneswar School, celebrating Odisha’s classical heritage.
The Valedictory Ceremony began with a thoughtful address by the Principal, encouraging students to continue shaping themselves as responsible global citizens.
This was followed by a Valedictory Speech by Deputy Secretary General, Miss Akankshya Kar, who reflected upon the teamwork, research, diplomacy, and growth witnessed throughout the event.

- Outstanding Delegates from each committee
A special institutional honor was awarded to the Illuminati MUN Society for its contribution to MUN mentorship and community growth.
The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Suravi Acharya, Core Secretariat Member of FBS MUN.
The event closed on a high-energy note with a DJ Night by DJ Max, where delegates celebrated collaboration, friendships, and the completion of two days of rigorous diplomacy.
