FBS Conducts Awareness Programme on Personal Hygiene and Responsible Behaviour for Classes VI–VIII

Future Bhubaneswar School (FBS) organised separate Awareness Programmes for the girls and boys of Classes VI–VIII on 25 July 2026. The girls’ programme was held at the Lyceum, South Block, while the boys’ programme was conducted in the Lecture Hall, North Block. The initiative aimed to promote personal hygiene, responsible behaviour, self-awareness, discipline, personal safety, and healthy adolescence among students.

The girls’ programme was jointly organised by the Student Counselling Department, Physical Education Department, and Science Department. Mrs Laxmi Priya Das, Biology Teacher, spoke on adolescence, physical changes, proper use of washrooms, and personal hygiene. Mrs Mousumi Mohanty, School Counsellor, addressed discipline, respectful communication, personal space and healthy boundaries, responsible behaviour, emotional changes during adolescence, and Good Touch and Bad Touch (personal safety). Mrs Jayanti Lal, Academic Coordinator, concluded the session by highlighting the importance of appropriate dress code and appearance.

The boys’ programme, organised by the Physical Education Department, was conducted by Mr Pinaki Saha. The session focused on discipline, respectful communication, school etiquette, personal hygiene, healthy boundaries, adolescence awareness, Good Touch and Bad Touch, responsible use of social media, and practising respect and good manners towards teachers, parents, elders, and peers.

Around 183 girls and nearly 190–195 boys participated in the programmes. The sessions included informative videos, interactive discussions, practical examples, and question-and-answer sessions, with teachers of the respective segment also in attendance.

The programmes encouraged students to develop self-discipline, empathy, mutual respect, responsible decision-making, and the confidence to seek guidance from parents and teachers whenever needed. The initiative reflects Future Bhubaneswar School’s commitment to nurturing responsible, disciplined, and socially aware young individuals.
